An asset is a coin on a network, written as a network id and a token: native for the network’s own coin (ETH, SOL, BTC, …), otherwise the token’s contract address (or mint, on Solana). You pass assets in allowedAssets when creating a link.

Staging (testnets)

USDC on the EVM testnets and Solana is Circle’s test token (faucet.circle.com).

Production (mainnets)

Coming soon: ethereum_mainnet, arbitrum_mainnet, optimism_mainnet, polygon_mainnet, bnb_mainnet, tron_mainnet, solana_mainnet and bitcoin_mainnet, each with its native coin and USDT/USDC where available.

Choosing assets

  • List only what you want to receive. The payer chooses among allowedAssets; an asset that isn’t enabled on the platform is rejected with PaymentLink.AssetNotSupported.
  • Stablecoins avoid price moves. The quote locks a coin amount for the payment window; with USDC or USDT the value you receive doesn’t drift with the market.
  • Mind the confirmation time. Bitcoin takes about ten minutes per block; fast chains settle in a minute or two.
